Terms of Use

1. Using Alphanumic

These Terms govern Alphanumic: Spelling & Math (“Alphanumic”) and alphanumic.com, provided by Gurgen Hakobyan, an Individual Entrepreneur registered in the Republic of Armenia (“we,” “us,” or “our”). They are intended for the parent or legal guardian managing a child's use, or for an adult using the service themselves.

By using Alphanumic, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. Nothing in these Terms removes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be waived.

Alphanumic provides educational games and activities. Some features are available without paid access; others require an active subscription. Registration, account management, purchases, and support are intended for parents or legal guardians, who should supervise use appropriate to the child's needs.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle account information, learning activity, saved user artwork, and privacy requests.

2. Accounts and saved progress

Available guest features can be used without registering a parent account. Guest progress is associated with a generated identifier. If access to that identifier is lost, for example after changing devices or clearing app data, the progress may become inaccessible and we may be unable to recover it.

When a guest profile is converted into a registered account, its saved progress becomes associated with that account. Keep your credentials secure and use an adult's contact details when registering. Contact us if you believe an account has been used without authorization.

Subscription purchases and learning progress are separate. Restoring a purchase does not by itself restore lost guest learning history. Purchase restoration depends on the store account used for the purchase and the account connections supported by Alphanumic. Purchases are not guaranteed to transfer between different stores or store accounts.

3. Monthly and yearly subscriptions

Alphanumic offers monthly and yearly auto-renewing subscriptions. Before purchase, the app and store checkout show the applicable price, billing period, and included paid features. Payments are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play, depending on where the purchase is made.

Unless canceled, the subscription renews for the selected billing period according to the relevant store's terms. The store handles renewal charges. Review the renewal date in your store subscription settings and cancel before renewal if you do not want another charge.

Prices can vary by country, currency, tax, and store. Any price change is subject to the relevant store's notice requirements, any required consent, and applicable law. A yearly plan is billed for the yearly period shown at checkout; it is not a month-to-month payment arrangement.

4. Canceling a subscription

Manage or cancel renewal through the store account used for the purchase:

• Apple App Store: see Apple's subscription cancellation instructions.
• Google Play: see Google Play's subscription cancellation instructions.

Cancellation normally stops future renewal while paid access continues until the end of the current paid period, subject to the store's rules and any refund, chargeback, or revocation. Cancellation does not automatically refund a payment already made or unused time in the current billing period.

Uninstalling Alphanumic, signing out, or deleting your Alphanumic account or guest profile does not automatically cancel a store subscription. You must cancel store billing separately if you want to stop future charges.

5. Refunds

Refund eligibility and the refund process depend on the store through which the purchase was made, the store's current policies, the circumstances of the purchase, and applicable law. Canceling a subscription or stopping use during a yearly plan does not by itself entitle you to a refund for unused months. Any rights under the store's policy or applicable law remain available.

• Apple App Store purchases: submit a request through Apple's refund process. Apple determines eligibility for purchases billed by Apple under its policies and applicable law.
• Google Play purchases: use Google Play's current refund policy and request options, or contact us where Google directs you to the developer. Where supported, we can review and process eligible Google Play refunds in accordance with Google Play's tools and policies and applicable law.

Store refund rules can vary by country, purchase type, and payment method and can change over time, so the linked store policies are the current source for the applicable process. Submitting a request does not guarantee that a refund will be approved.

If you have a billing problem or cannot access paid features, contact us so we can help investigate. Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights, including any applicable cancellation, withdrawal, refund, repair, replacement, or other remedy. If a purchase is refunded or revoked, the corresponding paid access may end.

6. Account and guest-profile deletion

A registered account can request deletion through Settings → Delete my account. A guest profile can request deletion through Settings → Delete Guest Data. An external deletion pathway is also described in our Privacy Policy. Providing a deletion reason, where offered, is optional.

Registered-account deletion includes a 14-day recovery window. During that period, normal account access is suspended. You can authenticate and explicitly cancel the request before permanent deletion processing begins; signing in alone does not cancel it. After the recovery window ends, we complete permanent deletion processing within the following 14 days and send a completion confirmation to the registered account email address.

Guest-profile deletion has no recovery window. After the request is accepted, the old guest profile becomes unavailable on that device, guest-specific local data is removed, and Alphanumic starts again with a new guest profile. We complete permanent deletion of the old guest profile within 14 days of the request. A guest may optionally provide an adult email address for a completion confirmation; providing an email is not required for deletion and does not create a registered account.

Once permanent deletion processing begins, the account or guest profile and user-created artwork associated with it, such as saved colorings and tracing samples, cannot be recovered. The Privacy Policy explains what is deleted, what learning information may be retained only after effective de-identification for aggregate or longitudinal analysis, and the limited records that may lawfully remain.

Deleting an account or guest profile is separate from store billing. It does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription and does not itself create a refund right beyond the store policy and applicable law described above. The registered-account recovery window is not a free trial or an additional refund period.

7. Content and acceptable use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Alphanumic for personal, non-commercial learning, subject to these Terms and applicable store terms. Our software, original artwork, educational materials, audio, branding, and other content belong to us or our licensors. Using Alphanumic does not transfer ownership of that content.

We do not claim ownership of original content you create. If you save user-created artwork, such as a coloring or tracing sample, you permit us to store and display that saved work as needed to provide the feature, subject to the Privacy Policy and any rights in the underlying Alphanumic learning materials or templates.

You must not unlawfully copy, redistribute, or resell our content; bypass paid-access or security controls; interfere with the service; attempt to gain unauthorized access; or use Alphanumic unlawfully. These restrictions do not override rights that applicable law expressly protects.

The terms of the store from which you obtained Alphanumic also apply to downloads and purchases. For Apple downloads, Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies where applicable unless another license is presented with the app.

8. Availability and responsibility

We work to provide a reliable educational experience, but learning outcomes vary and we do not guarantee a particular educational result. Some features require an internet connection, and maintenance, updates, outages, or third-party service interruptions may temporarily affect access or synchronization.

Software can contain bugs, and handwriting recognition or other automated feedback may occasionally misinterpret an input or give an incorrect result. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Please contact us if you encounter a problem so we can investigate.

We may update Alphanumic and its content. Changes affecting paid services remain subject to applicable consumer rights. We cannot guarantee recovery of guest progress after the guest access identifier is lost.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability, rights, or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Any limitation in these Terms applies only to the extent permitted by applicable law.

9. Applicable law and changes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Armenia, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections or rights available under laws that apply to them, including any right to bring a claim in a court that applicable consumer law makes available.

We may update these Terms when Alphanumic, store requirements, or the law changes. We will update the date shown on this page and, where required, provide additional notice or obtain agreement before material changes take effect. Changes do not remove rights relating to earlier purchases.
